Lonnie Hollis passed January 21, 2026 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Hospice
House surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 1, 1953 to the late Louise Means Hollis and Lorenzo “Lo” Hollis.
He was a faithful member of Ridgeville Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee. He was very active in the ministry, where he lead our transportation ministry until his health declined.
He was a member of the United States Army where he served as a motor transport operator.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his daughter’s Makisha Fowler of Spartanburg, SC and Thomasha Wells of Greenville, SC, two brothers Darrell (Sandra) Hollis and Ray Hollis, one sister Jessie Mae Stevens. Four grandchildren Dyamond Miller (Kamal) of Inman, SC, Tyler Wells-Jeter, Myles Pilgrim, and Paiton Pilgrim of Greenville, SC, one Great Granddaughter, Nalani Rayn Jeter, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister Diane Hollis and his parents Louise and Lorenzo Hollis.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeville Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Lonnie was my first crush at 10 years old. Later as adults when I'd run into him he'd say ,jokely say "hey girlfriend " I'll never forget him. My prayers and condolences are with his family
