Obituary For Lunette Davis

Lunette Sanders Davis answered the Master’s call on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Bon Secours Rehabilitation Center in Newport News, Va. Mrs. Sanders was born to the late Rutledge Robinson and Annie Mae Jeter on June 3, 1925 in Union County, SC. She was married to the late Dock Sanders, Mrs. Sanders-Davis was a faithful member at Mt. Moriah Baptist church where she served until her health declined. Her ministry involvements included: Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, Senior Citizens, June Birthday Club, Member Emeritus of the Sanctuary Choir and Senior Usher Board, Evangelism Ministry, Pastors Aide, Sympathy Club, Mt. Moriah Food Pantry and Evangelism. She was a member of Jeptha Chapter 21 of the Order of Eastern Stars and the South Converse Neighborhood Watch. Mrs. Sanders-Davis retired from Monsanto Inc. in 1990. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her children, Sadie (Coley) Eleazer, Levester Sanders, Zebrie Vincent (Ulanda) Sanders, Marion Keith Sanders, Charles (Joyce) Davis, Cynthia Talley, Jeannette Watson and Sharon Ward; her siblings, Lula Mae Jeter, Jimmy Wilson Wallace, Adolphus Wallace Jr., Abner H. Wallace and Budessel (John) Chatman; her nineteen grandchildren; her one great grandchild; and a host of many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Converse Robinson, Reuben Robinson, Ozella Brown, Gwendolyn Jackson, Dock Sanders and Troy Davis. Final Rites by the Order of Eastern Star will be held on Friday evening, November 6, 2015 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends at the chapel following the rites from 6:30-7:30p.m. A Celebration of the Life of Lunette Sanders Davis will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 445 S. Church St, Spartanburg, SC. Dr. B.D. Snoddy will officiate. Interment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
