Margaret V. Mitchell
Margaret Virginia Mitchell, 85, passed at home surrounded by her sons on Friday September 24, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Vernon Wheeler and Emma Duckett.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold Mitchell, Sr.; daughter, Sonya Mitchell; and sister, Polly Ann Springer.
Margaret was a long-time member of Sims Chapel United Methodist Church in Arkwright until the SC Methodist Conference closed Sims Chapel and she moved her membership to Silver Hill United Methodist.
She was a graduate of Carver High School, Class of 1954. Margaret attended DeFrans Beauty School in New York where she became a Licensed Hairdresser & Cosmetologist in the State of New York in 1959.
Margaret retired from Hudson International after thirty-seven years of service.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Sims Chapel Sympathy Club in Arkwright and the VFW Post 9349 Ladies Auxiliary Left to cherish fond and Loving memories are: her three sons, Harold Mitchell, Jr., Timothy Mitchell and Darrell Mitchell; three granddaughters, Tiara Martin,Elizabeth Mitchell and Hannah Mitchell; two grandsons, David Mitchell and Da'Shun Mitchell; one sister, Barbara Dunn; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Wiggin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside Services for Margaret Virginia Mitchell will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2256 Cannons Campground Rd., Drayton, SC.
May fond memories of your Mother bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I'm truly sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Margaret(Mom). Please accept my condolences.

Margaret was good to me. She took her time to train me on the job. I was always grateful to her for doing that. From her I spend over 40yrs at the same company. She loved her family. Harold ,Tim and Darrell. A former employee Mary Rogers.
