Obituary For Martha Singleton
Rutherfordton, NC - Martha Singleton was born April 10, 1937 in Rutherfordton,NC. Mrs. Singleton was the widow of the late William Singleton, Jr. She was a devoted and long-time member of Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include: her children, Margaret Murray(Emmett) and Jerome Singleton both of Rutherfordton, NC, Juanita Anderson (James) of Forest City,NC, Sheila Singleton of the home, Audrey Allison(Gerod) of Spartanburg, SC and Valerie Singleton of Spindale, NC; her stepdaughter, Ruthie Golden of Charleston, SC; her three brothers, James Cash (Hattie) Rutherfordton NC, Alton Cash (Nancy) Morganton NC and Joseph Cash (Callie) Marion, NC; her three sisters, Annie Mae Ledbetter and Claretha Cash both of Rutherfordton, NC, Muriel Sparrow (James) of Forest City, NC; her devoted sister-in-law, Marie Reed (Sheldon) of Charlotte, NC; her eleven grandchildren; her twenty-one great grandchildren; her eight great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Martha was preceded in death by: her siblings, Zebedee, Charles and Willie Cash. A Celebration of the Life of Martha Singleton will be held today, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

To the family of Martha Singleton,, please accept our sincere condolence. Jehovah God knows how hard it is to lose someone you love. We are so grateful that He has provided us hope and comfort through his scriptures in the bible. Revelation 21: 3,4 mentions that He will soon wipe away tears, pain and death will be no more. What a loving promise he gave us. I hope this promise brings you and your family comfort at this most difficult time.

May you find strength from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: 'God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.' What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
