Obituary For Mary Geter

Boiling Springs, SC – Ms. Mary Louise Geter, 79, of 18 Annandale Dr., entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Jerry Eugene Geter and Mrs. Ellen Walker Geter. Ms. Geter was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his daughters, Dorothy Gentry and Rosiland Geter, both of Spartanburg, SC and Crystal (Travis) Simpson of Boiling Springs, SC; her sisters, Carrie Lyles, Bessie Lowrance and Alice Lyles, all of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Derrick (Summers) Gentry of Enoree, SC and Yvette Geter (Fiancée Tyler Dewberry) of Spartanburg, SC; her great grandchildren, Da’Jona Gentry, Derrick Gentry, Jr., Detrick Gentry, Dae’drell Gentry, Tyler Dewberry, Jr. and Treston Dewberry, all of Spartanburg, SC and Tiyana Stephens of Enoree, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ms. Geter was preceded in death by: his sister, Ellen Hull; his brothers, Jerry Geter, Jr., James Geter, Charles Geter and Robert Prater. A Celebration of the Life of Mary Louise Geter will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. Thomas E. Massey, Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
