Mary Wanamaker was born July 28, 1932. She entered into eternal rest on Sept.19 2021. Mary was the daughter of the late James Edward Smith (Buddy) and Virgie Mae Smith. Mrs.Wannamaker was a member of Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church. She was a live-in nanny for many years raising two wonderful boys, David & Jordan Taffet.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, family member, and friend.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: Her sister, Josie Hill(Mina)and son in law Timothy R. Smith. She was the mother of the late Myrtle Smith. Mary was the grandmother of Jimmy & Cheryl Peeler, Keisha Black, Timothy L Smith, and Ta’Mia Smith; Her great grandchildren left with fond memories are: Victoria Peeler, Tonya Peeler, La’teisha McClintock , Sha’Keema McClintock, Ba’Sia Smith, Hailie Davidson, Nathaniel and Amy Smith, Benjamin Smith, Nikolas Smith, Isaiah Smith, Damien Jude Smith ,Raegan Meadows, Kameron Meadows,Elijah Meadows, and Marley Meadows. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-grandchildren. Preceded In death were her siblings; Rose Lee Hardy, Annie Ruth Smith, Daisy Lee Littlejohn, and Coy Smith-Mobley.

Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC.
