Obituary For Mattie Foster

Mattie Sue Jennings Foster was born April 22, 1926 to the late Jule Jennings, Sr. and Annie Faye McKinney Jennings. Mrs. Foster peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Mattie was the wife of the late Fred Foster, Jr.

Mrs. Mattie was a faithful member of the Foster Grove Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and Community Sympathy Club. She was a born again Christian who loved the Lord and her family.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her son, Charles Albert (Brenda) Jennings; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Jennings; her sister, Annie K. Pilgrim; her six grandchildren; her eleven great-grandchildren; her five great-great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Lee Alice Jennings of Inman, SC and Thalea Foster of Wellford, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mattie was preceded in death by: her son, Daniel Jennings; her great-granddaughter, Tamaji Hawkins; her brother, Jule Jennings, Jr.; and a sister, Grace Jones.
