Dear Cousin Mike, Thank you for being a devoted nephew and faithful cousin. As kids, we looked up to you for being hip and cool with your 8 tracks and sports car. Always kind and brotherly to each of us. As a young adult, I saw you as a dependable compassionate person developing into a father, husband and taking good care of our Grandma Wilson (Mama), looking after Aunt Mamie and Fred. As an adult, I saw you as someone who not only diligently cared for and protected others but stood up for yourself against the Goliaths of industry. You walked tall with confidence, kindness, and respect. Over the years, you were the ever-faithful nephew and cousin. You showed up for us – at celebrations, events and handled family matters efficiently with a humble spirit of service. Dad valued and appreciated you having "boots on the ground" and being responsible. In the later years, I am ever grateful for how you consistently and genuinely checked on Dad/us, answering his many calls and being the first to wish him a happy special day. You were understanding and respectful. You had a gift of presence that brought strength, peace, and comfort. The Holy Spirit was alive in you. That is what made you the coolest. You were a great person. We are grateful for you and will miss you dearly.
Dear Charlotte, Nikki, and Camille, I wish that we could be with you and the rest of the family today. We pray that you continue to feel Mike's love as the Holy Spirit gives you strength, peace, and comfort. Love, Janet, Uncle Phon(Fun), and the entire JAW Family.
May God continue to strengthen and keep you all doing your time of loss. Sending up prayers for the family and friends. Mike was a classmate at Clinton High. He was kind and caring. Margaret Anderson
My prayers going out for the family.
Rest in peace cousin Mike. I will always remember you as a happy, smiling person. May God keep you and bless your family.-Donald Wilson and family.
Mike was the oldest cousin I had that I could remember. When I was a young boy he introduced me to 8-track soul music of James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, Temptations, etc. He made us all proud of his basketball accomplishments. He was up there with David Thompson in our eyes back in the day. No one had a bigger heart and the Saints were at attention giving him a standing ovation when he walked into heaven on March 18th, and Lula Mae was front and center. Rest in Peace Scamp. We love you brother! Jesse Wilson Jr and The Entire Wilson and Little Family

I was fortunate to meet Mike over 20 years ago when Nikki and I were in college. I honestly had never seen a father-daughter relationship like the one they had. Even into adulthood, I would often say "Nikki doesn't need a husband, because she has her daddy!"
His presence will definitely be missed. My best friend lost one of her best friends. My prayers are with all of his family and loved ones. May he continue to live on through his legacy.
