SPARTANBURG, SC – Mr. Henry Matthew Hopper, Jr., 42, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was a native of Cherokee County. Mr. Hopper was the loving husband of Mrs. Kenya Ford Hopper. He was the son of Mrs. Sandra Camp Hopper and the late Mr. Henry M. Hopper, Sr. Henry was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC. Survivors include: his daughters; Hannah Michelle Hopper of the home, Alexas Jade Jennings of Charlotte, NC, Amoni Height of Greer, SC; his son, Jayden Brooks of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his sisters, Mrs. Dedra (Russell) Blackmon and Mrs. Latrice (William) Moore, both of Shelby, NC; his brother Mr. Ernest Hopper of Shelby, NC; his special grandmother, Ms. Maggie Miller; his mother in law, Mrs. Betty (Lester) Wray; and a host of close relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of the Life of Mr. Henry Matthew Hopper, Jr. will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.; Pastor Van Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends at the home, 112 Morningside Drive, Apt. A. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Henry Matthew Hopper, Jr. Memorial Fund, care of The Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 697 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
