SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Jerry Lee Saffo, Sr., of 408 Bates Court, passed Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care. He was the husband of Mrs. Sandra Thompson Saffo. He was the son of the late Mr. Shepherd L. Saffo and Mrs. Ovella Mae Edwards Saffo. He was a native of Cleveland, OH. Mr. Saffo was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.Survivors include: his five sons, Jerry L. Saffo, Jr., Dwayne L. Saffo, James S. Saffo, Sr., Louis Saffo, and Dennis L. Saffo; his daughter, Christian T. Saffo; his sister, Evelyn Parker; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 12:00 noon at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Bishop Charles J. J. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the home.J. W. WoodwardFuneral Home
