Myrtle Ruth Smith was born on Aug 1,1949. She entered eternal rest on September 20,2021. Myrtle was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Emma Wanamaker. Myrtle was a loving wife and mother to her family for over half a century. She was also a daughter, mother, grandmother, loved family member, and friend. Left to cherish her monumental as well as astounding legacy and loving memories of her include: Her husband, best friend, and life partner Timothy Roosevelt Smith. Her aunts, Josie Hill and Francis Littlejohn. Her sister in laws Janet Smith (Jerry) and Barbara Ann Smith. Brothers in law; Vernon Ray Smith, Hubert Lee Smith, and the late Kenneth Bernard Smith. There are a host of nieces and nephews left with many fond memories of her as well, Her children; Jimmy and Cheryl Peeler, Keisha Black, Timothy L. Smith, and TaโMia Smith. Her grandchildren; Victoria Peeler,Tonya Peeler, Laโteisha McClintock, ShaโKeema McClintock, BaโSia Smith, Hailie Davidson, Nathaniel and Amy Smith, Benjamin Smith, Nikolas Smith, Isaiah Harper, Damien Jude Smith, Raegan Meadows, Kameron Meadows, Timothy Elijah Meadows, and Marley Meadows.
Myrtle was also survived by a host of cousins, and beloved friends. Her legacy was one of elegance, rich history, and unmatched love. Her words have taught life lessons and spoken truth. A woman with a heart of gold yet tough as nails who was FEARLESS. She rose to any occasion and came out of every storm barely damp. Her tenacity, perseverance, and dedication to loved ones reigns supreme. May God always bless and keep you.
Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC.
