Noah was born Aug. 1, 1943 and died on Apr. 15, 2023. He was the son of Willie B. and Eva Glenn Miller. Noah was a native of Spartanburg and he attended the District 7 Schools. He accepted Jesus at a young age. Noah was a fun-loving community member. He always took the time to speak and to see how everyone was doing. Especially the children and youth. He is loved by many! His favorite pastime was dancing, listening to loud music, He enjoyed the old TV shows, Big Valley, Bonanza, Westerns and contributing to the SC Education Lottery. Earning a nickname of “SCRATCH”. Noah was employed at Frank Hall Tires; Pettit Construction; Wofford College; Bob’s Car Wash; and the New Method Laundry and Cleaners He was fond of the Cleaners because our family has a long history there and he played in the Cleaners as a little boy. He was affectionately called a Crossley family member. After retirement he entered a Landscaping partnership. Noah has made his mark on many buildings and structures in Spartanburg and other cities. An addition to the Presbyterian church was one of the marks that he has made. Noah was quite the traveler up and down the East Coast. Maine, Florida, and New England were his favorite states. He resided in Miami and Boston. Noah was predeceased by his parents and his daughter Andrea Meshell Williams, his grandson Marvin Hicklin Jr and his siblings, James Earl, Willie, Shirley, William “Ed”, Thomas, Benjamin “Pete” Donald Miller and Jacqueline Sartor. He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: George Albert Waters, Hester Marie Hicklin, Bryant Lamont Miller, Alberta Rogers of Spartanburg and Betty Lawanda Miller of Minneapolis, MN. His grandchildren, Ashley Mack, George Jr, Tshanti, Aniya, Geordeci, Georlaysia Waters, Joyasha, Isaac Hicklin, Minashe, Baranda Wheeler, Tajma Williams Dawkins, Tyuna Jones, John Reed, Nicole Nash, and Jameson Miller. His great-grand children: Madison, Mia Shippy, Madilyn Rice, Maddax, Chrishawna Suber-McHam, Lennox Cheek, Corey Jr, Honor Rice, Christian Gary, Grayson, Owen Miller, Michele Reed, Goddess, Sinala, and Amir Siblings: Nathaniel and Anita “Phoenix” (Terry) Miller, Patricia (James) Bryant, Spartanburg, SC and Martha (Gennie) Golson of Temple, GA.Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, 1 Aunt, 1 Uncle, and many Friends and Acquaintances.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 22. 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The Johh Stinson Woodward Meorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Cemetery St. Cemetery.
