My many hugs and thanks to Officer King and to his beautiful wife, Millie King. To know them is to love them. To have met them was meeting greatness, faith, and a good laugh. Overall, they were shining with a kind word and God.

Mr. Javan was called "grandpa" by my kids when on campus at Dorman and anywhere else we saw him. He was the best and we are truly missing him and always will. Praying for you Mrs. Millie and your family and love you all.

The loss of Javan King deeply saddens us. He wasn't just a dedicated SRO—he was a kind soul who truly loved people. His smile, caring words, and genuine heart touched everyone he met. Javan often spoke about retiring and spending more time with his family, and we wish he'd had more time to do what he loved most. He will be deeply missed, but his kindness and spirit will always be remembered.

Brothers in Arms we were. I remember Javan was one of the first officers at SPD who welcomed me when I started the reserve program. I had the blessings of knowing him at Dorman HS, too. Always a quiet and stoic friend and fellow veteran, I never heard Javan ever complain nor speak ill of anyone. Javan will be missed but Heaven gained a son.

Dear Family of Javan: Javan was a legend and a good man. He had a wonderful relationship with our entire D6 Family. I used to tease him that he was our Billy Dee Williams because "The Force Was With Him." We know you are all devastated by his loss but so proud of his service, integrity, kindness, and honorable character. He will be missed and always appreciated. I extend my condolences to Millie, the King family and friends on the passing of Javan. I met Millie and Javan while on a RV camping trip which they loved doing. I appreciated them welcoming me into their family and keeping in touch over the years. There are lots of kind memories that will live on. Praying for God's continued blessings for the King family with love.

All my years at Dorman I loved chatting it up with Javan and cutting it up with him. When I was graduating in 2003, he signed my yearbook and said to me "You going to remember me when you're in Hollywood Chump". I also remember a time when my car got hit in the parking lot and the vehicle was not registered to anyone on campus, he sat behind the vehicle that hit me until the person responsible came out. He was always looking out for me no matter what and had that sweet sweet smile for me. Years down the road when I saw him at the Spring Fling he would have a hug for me still.

As long as I've know Javan, he was always "Bruh" to me. He had a heart of gold and extended gracious hospitality to me whenever I came over to the house.
