Obituary For Paul Douglas Byrd, Sr.

Spartanburg, SC – Mr. Paul “Bubba” Douglas Byrd, Sr., 57, peacefully transitioned from earth to glory surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Mr. Byrd was the son of the late Mr. Henry Byrd and the late Ms. Mildred Clowney Byrd. Mr. Byrd was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was previously employed with Lee Fibers. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his children, Mr. Paul (Tamika) Greer, Ms. Ebony Nesbitt, Ms. Tornisha Byrd, Mr. Paul (Sabrina) Byrd, Jr. and Ms. Paulette Miller; his sisters, Ms. Janice (Robert) Colley and Ms. Marsha “Mart” Byrd; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his nephew, Mr. Dalvin Byrd; two great nephews; six aunts; four uncles; his special friend, Ms. Vette Proctor; his former spouse, Ms. Jannie Renee Byrd; and a host of other relatives and cherished friends. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Paul “Bubba” Doulas Byrd, Sr. will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 220 Austin Street, Spartanburg, S.C. Bishop Terry McCaskill will officiate. Interment will be held in Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Marsha Byrd, 350 Bryant Road Apt. A29, Spartanburg, SC.
