Raymond E. Williams Jr. was born on May 1, 1943, to the late Ernestine Vance and Raymond E. Williams, Sr.
He attended Carver High School.
Raymond was employed at V.A.W. of America Ellenville New York and retired after 48 years. He also drove the School Bus at both Child Rehabilitation Center and the Ellenville Central Schools District for 20 years.
Raymond was also an ordained Deacon at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Ellenville, NY where he faithfully served until his relocation back to South Carolina.
Left to cherish loving memories are: his wife of fifty-eight years, Betty J. Williams; his son, Marion J. Williams (Laytona) of Greer, SC; his daughter, Miranda D. Shelton (Timothy) of Boiling Springs, SC; his son, Stevan Beatty (Melissa) of Spartanburg, SC; his brother, Robert Williams (Gwen); his sister, Geneva Pritchett (Curtis); his brothers, Lonnie William and Ted Michael Williams (Helen); his grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will follow in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC.
