Richard Allen Woodruff was bornon September 18, 1966 to Mary C. Woodruff and the late Robert H.Woodruff. He entered into eternal reston November 2, 2021 at SpartanburgRestorative Care after a brief illness.
Mr. Woodruff joined Bethel Holiness Church at an early age where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Richard later joined Harrison Grove Baptist Church.
He served his country for thirteen years in the U. S. Army.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his wife of thirty- four years, Walda Woodruff; his two daughters, Chelsea Woodruff andCadence Dawkins of the home; his three sons, McKenzie Woodruff,Zyon Pitts and Aiden May of the home; his two grandchildren, Zariyah Woodruff and Addarren Woodruff reared in the home; his mother, Mary C. Woodruff; his two sisters, Shena Gentry of Spartanburg, SC and Carol (Elbert) Farris of Moore, SC; his brother, Ryan Copeland of Spartanburg, SC; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Woodward; his sister-in-law, Calista (Reginald) Fowler; his uncle, William J. Woodruff; his aunt, Bessie Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was preceded in death by: his daughter, LaKasha Woodruff; his father, Deacon Howard Woodruff; his two siblings, Patricia Woodruff and William Woodruff; his maternal grandparents, William and Bessie Littlejohn; and his paternal grandparents, William and Emma Woodruff.
A Celebration of the Life of Richard Allen Woodruff will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 12:00 noon at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
