Obituary For Robert Carter

Robert Carter Jr., lovingly called “BC” and “Lion Heart,” was born on August 14, 1975, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, at Middlesex County Hospital. He passed away surrounded by family on August 22, 2025 in Spartanburg, SC at the age of 50, after a brave fight with cancer. Fierce, loyal, and full of humor, he lived with a bold spirit and reached his 50th birthday with determination and strength.

Robert found joy in cooking, often preparing meals for his mother, and shared his father’s deep love for dogs. A private man with a strong presence, he cherished family above all and brought laughter to every gathering.

He is survived by his mother, Lois L. Carter; his sisters, Martisha Dwyer and Ramona Carter; his brothers, Kinta Carter, Binta Carter, and Michael Carter; his longtime companion, Barbara J Bolin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Carter Sr.

Robert will be remembered as a fighter, a provider of laughter, and a man with a loyal heart. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 noon at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
