Obituary For Robin Wingo
Robin Wingo was born on October 2, 1964, to Roy Lee and Mary Lou Anderson Wingo in Spartanburg, SC.
Robin graduated from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1982. She furthered her education at Spartanburg Community College where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education.
Robin accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at the age of 13 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She loved helping the youth and the church. She started teaching as an assistant in the Junior High Department, then the Senior High Department, then the Superintendent of the Senior High Department in Sunday School. She was an original member of MBYF, Vacation Bible School, Mass Choir and Girl Scouts. She loved her Pittsburgh Steelers.
Left to cherish fond and precious memories are: her daughters, Nicole (Tony) Simpson and Alisa (Ben) Jackson; her son, Allen Wingo; her grandchildren, Robert Jeter Jr, Kaydon Foster, Bryson Lyles, and Alayia Wingo; her brothers, Winston (Brenda) Wingo and David Wingo; one niece, Gina (Jeremy) Jenkins; a special sister, Angela Hackett; a special brother, Edward Mayes; a special daughter, Kavia Geter; a special grandson, Kavon Geter all of Spartanburg, SC; one uncle, Laymond Wingo, Sr.; and three aunts, Everlena Hill, Ruth Tinsley, and Sally Murphy.
Robin was preceded in death by: her daughter, Michelle Wingo; and her parents Roy and Mary Wingo.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 2:00p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Heritage Memorial Gardens.

I have known Robin for over 40 years. She was a humble and loving person. I cant remember a time when she did not welcome me to her home nor treated me bad. She had a loving and beautiful heart and never complained about her illness or how things that happened in her life. To her children and grandchildren: Always remember that Robin loved you all and talked about you all with so much pride and love. I will miss her laughter and smile. Ill never forget your kindness to me> See you when we meet in Heaven my friend!! Love you always!! Vonne

I was saddened to hear of Robin's passing. We lost touch some years ago but I remembered my visits to her home and just being able to talk with her! My prayer is that God would wrap His arms around the family and Father them!
