Obituary For Ruby Jeter

Spartanburg - Ruby Virginia Jeter entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 21, 2021. She was a native of Union County, South Carolina, born on January 11, 1932, to the late Mr. Irenus Jeter and Mrs. Birdie Davis Jeter.

Ms. Jeter was a very faithful member of the Cleveland Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Usher Board, the VADS, and the Gospel Choir.

She retired after 27 years of service at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Ms. Jeter was preceded in death by: her two brothers Mr. Gary Jeter and Mr. Edward Jeter; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Jeter-Holland and Mrs. Betty Anderson; one granddaughter, Ms. Camille Jeter; and one great-grandson, Mr. Khalid Jones.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: two daughters, Mrs. Faye (Sonny) Jones and Ms. Hazel Jeter both of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Mrs. Wilma Jeter of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Ms. Tonya Jones of Delaware, PA, Ms. Dena Jones of Spartanburg, SC , Master Sergeant Tresha Jeter of Columbia, SC, and Ms. Crystal Jeter of Great Falls, SC; eight great-grandchildren, Mr. Dabrian Jones, Mr. Keshaun Jeter, Ms. Cierra Jones, Ms. Kedra Jeter, Mr. Messiah Jones, Mr. Jaden Jeter, Ms. Jamaria Jeter and Mr. Davian Jones all of Spartanburg, SC; one aunt, Mrs. Mary Jeter of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of other relatives, friends, church members and co-workers who loved her dearly.

A Celebration of the Life of Ruby Virginia Jeter will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cemetery St. Cemetery, Spartanburg, SC. Bishop Dr. Charles J. J. Jackson, III will officiate.
