Stephon Lamar Jeter, born August 8, 1963 entered into eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2024 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after battling a year-long illness. Stephon was the son of the late Anderson Jeter Sr. and the late Betty Jean Jeter-Mosley. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Woodruff.
Stephon leaves behind his loving spouse, Amanda Jeter and her two daughters raised in the home: Tiffany Garrett of Spartanburg, SC and Makeisha (Tony) Butler of Summerville, SC. Four grandchildren: Hici, Que, Shy, and Langston, and four great grandchildren Garrett, Sephie, Nova and Five.
Stephon is survived by his siblings, brothers, Anderson (Shirley) Jeter Jr. of Spartanburg, SC and Willie (Elaine) Jeter of Killeen Texas, his sisters, Debra Woodard, Cheryl Jeter- Jones, Marsha Suber, Kelly Jeter and Trannie Mosley of Spartanburg, SC. and five nieces and three nephews whom he adored.
Stephon attended school in Spartanburg District 7. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, music lover, especially Gospel and Soul, and loved singing in the local Menโs Choir promoting the gospel of Christ. He also loved to dance and sing in celebration with his wife and friends. Stephon took great pride in his family. He loved spoiling his wife and grandchildren with gifts for various occasions.He was such a doting grandfather; Garrett and Langston were his pride and joy. His words to his family on Christmas was, โContinue to love one another. Continue to hug and hold one another. Donโt forget about me. I love you.โ He will be missed immensely.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 12:00 noon at The United House of Prayer for All People, Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, Ruebuck, SC.
