Thomas J. Carson, Sr. Chesnee, SC - Thomas J. Carson, Sr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Mr. Carson, Sr. was the son of the late Preston and Electer Mae Lowrance Carson. He was the husband of Juanita Tracy Carson. Thomas was a member of Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by: his wife, Juanita; his daughter, Kimberly Carson; his two sons, Thomas (Tamika) Carson, Jr. and Kendal (Barbie) Carson; his five grandchildren, Tamisha Carson, B. J. and Trinity Stewart, Malik Watson and Jamarion Pearson; his goddaughter, Latasha Carter; his four sister, Jessie Mae Kelly, Preddy Mae Alexander, Georgia Jackson and Marjorie Farr; his brother, Rufus Carson; his uncle, Tommy Smathers; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Services for Thomas J. Carson, Sr. will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2260 Old Furnace Rd., Boiling Springs, SC. The Reverend Dr. J. E. O’Neal will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Carson, Sr. will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. The family will receive friends at the home.
