Obituary for Thomas Geter

Spartanburg, SC - Thomas Geter, affectionately known as “Tommy” or “Tom Slick”, passed on July 2, 2017. Thomas was born September 30, 1947 to the late JC Richardson and Annie Geter. He was reared in the home of his beloved grandparents, Tom and Fannie “Ma” Richardson. Thomas was a member of the United States Army; he served during the Vietnam War. He leaves behind; his loving wife, Rose Pendergraph Geter; his daughters, Jeaneil “Peaches” Pendergraph of Atlanta, GA and Krystal Geter of Beaufort, SC; his son, Jason Geter of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Mattie Fields; his grandchildren, Jayson, Jordyn, Ja’Brayln and Ja’Mya Geter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other beloved family members and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Thomas Geter will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. The Reverend Wyonnia McKissick will officiate. Interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 131 Memorial Dr, Pacolet, SC. The family will receive friends at the home, 390 Brown Rd., Spartanburg, SC.
