Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, Roebuck, SC.

From my early days as a trying to make my way as a female sports writer, especially as a Black woman, seeing Toney helped me realize that anything was possible. His words of encouragement and support were invaluable and I cherished every opportunity to interact and hang with him while at Georgia Tech.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his memory be a blessing.

From the first time I met Toney when I was a rat in the Georgia Tech band, he has been a friend and someone I always looked forward to seeing.
I know I can speak for all of us who work in the Georgia Tech football press box that we will miss Toney and his stories, his heart and his warmth.
