I knew Velma Jean when I lived on S Forest St. She was my best friend. I asked my parents to name my 1st sister Velma Jean, and they did. I haven't seen her in years. I always thought of her. I'm so sorry for the family loss. I will miss Velma even moreso.😢
Sorry for your loss, Velma Jean was a very good friend and if you needed anything and she had it, it was yours. Sleep on Jean and take your rest , we love you, but God loved you best. Mildred Brewton and Family
My condolences to the family, sorry for your loss. Its bee a long time since I saw Jean Thompson. Remembering her she was a joy to encounter. She always made you laugh. There was never a dull moment around her. When I was a teenager, I hung out at her house with Trina. Jean would cook sometimes, and I would eat and enjoy. Jean could make anyone laugh. She was a jokester at heart. My prayers to the family, Trina, Melody, sister Gwen and her Grandchildren is that God may comfort you all during this time of loss. God is not too far away that He can't hear your cry. Lean on one another, draw close to God and He will guide you on this new journey. I can't say that it will be easy but with God,all things are possible.
