Obituary For Vickie Dawkins

Spartanburg, SC - Vickie Diane Dawkins was born on November 17, 1959 to the late Willis “Bill” Miller and Anna Virginia Miller. Mrs. Dawkins entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was the widow of Harold Odell Dawkins. Vickie was a graduate of Martin Webb Baptist College where she received a certificate in Christian Training and a Diploma Theology. She was a faithful member of Harrison Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, Willing Workers Sympathy Club member and President and Founder of the Harrison Grove Singles LOVE Ministry. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her cherished daughters, Ashia (Tony) Watson of Inman, SC and Toccora Miller of Pacolet, SC; her loving sons, Galen Miller of Spartanburg, SC and Brian Dawkins of the home; her stepson, Lonndon Fuller of Spartanburg, SC; her five sisters, Bessie (Frank) Holmes, Katie Shippy, Carolyn (Tom) Harris, Elder Geneva Byrd and Anna Louise Jeter all of Spartanburg, SC; her brother, Mr. Daniel (Teresa) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; her treasured grandchildren, Samuel Clowney, Gabriel Watson, Destiny Watson, McKennah Miller and Galen Miller, Jr.; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lee Miller and a sister, Maggie Lucille Miller. A Celebration of the Life of Vickie Diane Dawkins will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Harrison Grove Baptist Church, 299, State Rd., Roebuck, SC. The Reverend Dr. Leon C. Rector, Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
