Obituary For Whitney Bobo

Inman, SC - Whitney Virginia Cates Bobo, 84, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Mrs. Bobo was the daughter of the late Thomas Cates and Molly Holcombe Cates. She was the widow of Lawrence Edward Bobo. Mrs. Bobo was a member of Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was employed with admissions for thirty years at New Britain General Hospital in Connecticut. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her sons, Ernest and Gerald; her daughter, Ernell (Rev. James) Tillotson; her sister, Bernice Cates; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers, L.C., Homer, Bravell, Fletcher, Thomas Jr. and Buford; and two sisters, Mildred and Bennie Mae. A Celebration of the Life of Whitney Virginia Cates Bobo will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1580 John Dodd Rd., Wellford, SC. Reverend James Tillotson will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
