PACOLET, SC-- William G. McBeth was born November 23, 1916, in Union, SC to Grant and Willie H. McBeth. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Dillon Pointe with his loving wife at his side.Preceding his in death were seven brothers; and four sisters, and they all dedicated their lives to the Lord at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Whitestone, SC. Mr. McBeth is the last surviving of his immediate family.He attended school in Spartanburg County and served in the Armed Forces. His first post was Casablanca, Africa and the remaining years of duty were in Levana, Italy. After returning from the military he resided in New York with his faithful wife, Eloise W. Bates-McBeth. Mr. McBeth was a retired custom furniture finisher in New York.He leaves his daughter, Theron D. McBeth-Nash of Spartanburg, SC; and three granddaughters, Cherice of New York, Jamila Lee of Spartanburg, SC, and Shera Nash-Hardy (James) of Wellford, SC; seven great-grandchildren; a faithful niece and nephew raised in the home, Willie (Josephine) McBeth of Pacolet, SC and Mary Frances McBeth-Littlejohn (Clyde) of Seattle, WA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.The family will be at the home of his nephew, Willie McBeth, 293 Gaston Street, Pacolet, SC.Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC with burial in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Jonesville, SC.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM.J.
