Obituary For William Meredith, Sr.

William Meredith, 73, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 4, 2018. Mr. Meredith was the son of the late Guy Meredith and Louise Jones. He was the husband of Mary Meredith.

He was employed with Spartan Mill for twenty-five years and School District 6 for thirteen years.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his three sons, Horace Anderson (Darlene), William Meredith, Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX and Gerald Meredith (Nora Armstrong) of Spartanburg, SC; his two daughters, Cynthia Smith and Wilma Simuel of Spartanburg, SC; his four grandchildren reared in the home, Alvin Christopher Meredith, Jr., Latoya Martin, Latisha Simuel Smalls and Desmon Smith; his fifteen grandchildren; his nineteen great-grandchildren; his great-great-grandchild; his special sister-in-law, Vanessa Thompson; and his special brother-in-law, Luther Anderson.

He was preceded in death his son, David Lee Smith.

A Celebration of the Life of William Meredith will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Bishop D. Beason will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.

The family will receive friends at the home, 405 Beacon St., Spartanburg, SC.
