Willie Lee Sartor "Possum" entered into eternal rest on November 22, 2021.
Mr. Sartor was preceded in death by: parents, James Sartor and Luvenia Cohen; sisters, Minister Mary Hughes , Ms. Gladys Gist and Elizabeth Holland; one brother, Mr. Michael Sartor; and daughter, Angela Means.
Survivors include: daughters, Sheila Elaine Miller, Traci Bivings (Donald), Erreeyal Smith (Melrose),Yavette Davis (Mitchell), Kressee Shelton (Brian); son, Tyron Lyles; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Walt) Bailey, Daisy Jackson and Lurine Kalu Sartor, Mary Fuller, Betty Browning and Annie Maguatt all of Spartanburg, SC and Sarah Cohen of Denmark, SC; brothers, James (Patricia) Sartor, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Lee (Olivia) Sartor and Mr. Rowdy Sartor both of Spartanburg, SC, Belton (Emma) Cohen of Moore, SC, Joseph (Patricia) Cohen of Spartanburg, SC, Richard (Wendy) Cohen of Atlanta, GA, Sammie (Telena) Cohen and Alvin Cohen both of Greenville, SC; and host of other family members and friends.
Services for Willie Lee Sartor will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
Dearest Uncle Possum, you will be greatly missed. You always had something funny or just plain silly to say. You made everyone laugh. Your stories of life and all your adventures were always intriguing. You will be missed greatly on earth. Rest in peace Uncle Possum. Love your niece, Wanda Cohen.
