Derrick Lamont Sullivan was born on September 22, 1977, in Winchester, Kentucky, to the late Willa Mae Sullivan and William Edward Lillard. He departed this life on February 27, 2026.
Derrick had a deep love for his children and grandchildren, who meant everything to him. He also had a strong love for University of Kentucky basketball and was a loyal fan throughout the years.
He is survived by his children: TyβQuasha, Shawnta, Jayla, Willam, Lamonee, JaNylah, Derrick Jr., and stepdaughters Jasmine and Cecile. He was a proud grandfather to Gabe, Jervon Jr., and TyβShon. He is also survived by his siblings: Cynthia, Flossie, Michael, Anthony, LaShonia, Patrick, Jeffrey, Jonda, Russell, and Waynee; special family members Jonathon and Camella; and special loved ones Joi, Keiren, and Kellie Meadows. He leaves behind extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Shanece Sullivan and Monique Dyer; his parents, Willa Mae Sullivan and William Edward Lillard; and Geneva Simmons, Helen Ratliff, and Edward Lillard.
His memory will live on through the family he leaves behind.

I only had a few months to get to know you, but you have made a huge impact on me and all the team at work. I will miss your voice, and our daily banter, but you will missed as a friend even more.
