Jeffrey Marcus Strode, 57 husband of Sonya Strode and son of the late John Thomas and Julia Magnolia Brooks Strode was born October 12, 1964, in Winchester (Clark County) Kentucky. He passed away on June 11, 2022, from a brief illness at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Jeffrey was a 1983 graduate of George Rogers Clark High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. Before being called home by the Lord he was an HVAC Technician.

Jeffrey is survived by six children: Ashley Murray of Seymour, IN; Jared Strode of Winchester, KY; Justin Strode of Winchester; Terry Carter, Lexington, KY; Reese Graves of Lima, OH; Shande’ Young of Cincinnati, OH two brothers: Anthony Eugene Brooks of Indianapolis, IN; Gregg Christopher (Julie) Brooks of Robinson, IL; one sister: Cheryl Renee (Dana Sr.) Smith of Dale City, VA. Two aunts: Mattie B (H. James) Clark of Winchester, KY; Esther (spouse of the late R. Arthur Lee) Brooks of Mission Viejo, CA.; an uncle: Willie B (the late Marcia) Brooks of Lexington, KY.; grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by a son, James South.
