Lynetta Ann Bobbitt ,44 known to many as “NettaBoo”
Passed away unexpectedly at her residence in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday August 19, 2025
She was born on November 10, 1989, to her parents, the late Nannette Bobbitt and Nathan Gibbs.
Though her time here feels far too short, Lynetta’s life was full of love, faith, and purpose.
From a young age, Lynetta accepted Christ into her life, and her faith became a steady foundation for how she lived.
She was a woman with a giving heart—always ready to listen, comfort, and uplift those around her. Many knew her not only as a daughter, mother, or friend, but also as a source of strength and encouragement.
One of Lynetta’s greatest joys in life was bringing her wonderful children into this world.
She loved them unconditionally and poured her heart into their lives. Becoming a grandmother brought her even more happiness.
She treasured her granddaughters and often spoke of how blessed she felt to watch her family grow.
Lynetta also had a gift for connecting with people through her work as a peer support specialist.
She openly shared her story with honesty and courage, using her own journey to inspire others to keep moving forward. She cared deeply about people, often putting their needs ahead of her own.
This selflessness was one of her most beautiful qualities, and it left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
When she wasn’t busy caring for her family or helping others, Lynetta found joy in her creativity. She loved selling her jewelry, with each piece reflecting the beauty and spirit she carried within herself.
Besides her parents, Lynetta is preceded in grandparents, Willie Mae Willis and W.C. Gibbs.
She now reunites with them in eternal peace.
Lynetta leaves behind to carry on her memory her beloved children: Kawanna Bobbitt, Edtreyvion Mitchell, Jayvonte Bobbitt, Nanette Bobbitt, Neveah Bobbitt, Josiah Bobbitt, and Lead Bobbitt; her cherished granddaughters: Nahari Parker, Janiyah Parker, and Miyanna Bobbitt; her aunts: Octavia Gibbs, Terry Ballew, and Vicky McLemore (Wayne); her uncles: Ricky Gibbs and Elder Anthony Wayne Phelps (Margaret); her cousins, Lashay Livingston(henrietta); and countless family members and friends who will never forget her laughter, her strength, and her heart.
Lynetta’s life was a testimony of love, resilience, and faith. Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in the stories we tell, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
