Obituary For Myrtle Sims
Myrtle Lucille Sims, age 61, born in Bardstown, Kentucky to Lucille Marie Price and John A. Sims, and affectionately known as โSissy" by many, peacefully passed away after an extended illness at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Myrtle is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Amber Lewis; her sister, Brenda Sims; and her long-time devoted companion and friend. Eugene Lewis.

Sissy, I can only imagine what peace there is in heaven, rest in the arms of Jesus until we meet again. Distance kept our lives apart but one day we will be free in our eternal heavenly home with no agenda but to be with our Savior and meet again.

Me and Sissy have been BFF for over 20 years and if anyone more than her family that loves her and is gonna miss her its me. Words can not explain how I feel right now so until we meet again my friend!
