'SERVICE ABOVE SELF"
My heart is broken to hear of this news today. I wish I had known of Ms. Brenda's passing, there is nothing that would have kept me from paying my respects. She was one of the first people I met when I came to Charlotte in 2004. She treated me like one of her own. She made sure that I was okay and I could trust her with anything. She proved to be a loyal friend and confidant time after time. My fondest memory of her was, I was standing at the bus stop and it was really cold. She pulled her car up and asked me why I wasn't wearing a coat. I said I am okay, I just haven't bought one yet. That evening she called me to her house and gave me a brand new coat from her closet. I never forgot that and I still have that coat today. I will never forget her. Her children were always so very nice to me when I came around. Thank you so much for all the love shown to me all these years.
Love you for life, Sharon
