Obituary For Vivian Elizabeth Ayers-Allen
Dr. Vivian Elizabeth Ayers-Allen 102, of Santa Monica, California and formerly of Chester, SC passed away on Monday August 18, 2025 in California.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 4:00pm at the Historic Site Brainard Institute on Marquis Street, Chester, SC.
Burial will follow on the site. Public viewing 1-3pm on Saturday at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery Street, Chester, SC.
Dr. Ayers-Allen was the mother Phylicia Rashad and Debbie Allen. Please keep the Ayers-Allen Family in your prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Dr Ayers-Allen's passing. My father was Rev Linson "Chief" Blakeney @ Carmel Presbyterian. He pastored Boot Ayers & family in Chester SC. I believe Dr Ayers-Allen & family attended the nearby AME church during this time. I have fond memories visiting the Ayers during my childhood. My sincere condolences to the family.
