Belinda Lititia McCain, 63, entered into rest on Monday, August 14, 2023, in the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA. She was born on December 1, 1959.
As a child, Belinda attended Good Hope Baptist Church, where she first accepted Jesus Christ into her heart. She later found a new church home, joining as a member of Greater Young Zion Baptist Church. Wanting to be closer to home, Belinda moved her membership to Mount Canaan Baptist Church, where she continued her regular church attendance.
Belinda attended C.T. Walker Elementary, Peter H. Craig Elementary, and Sandbar Ferry Junior High before graduating from Lucy Craft Laney High School in 1977. After graduating, she briefly attended Albany State College, and later worked as a customer service representative for The Kroger Company in North Augusta, South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her late mother, Maxine Rolland; four of her brothers: Byron Rolland, Tony Beck, Deon Beck, and Mark Rolland; and her aunt Juanita Riles.
Belinda McCainβs legacy will be cherished by her three children; Maxine Lititia Rolland, Christopher Thomas McCain, and Thomas Charlie McCain, Jr.; father, Gilbert (Willie Mae) Rolland; granddaughter, JaβLeah Lillian Price; sister, Lisa Beck; brothers, Gilbert (Myrthis) Rolland, III, Maxlin (Dawn) Rolland, and Eric Rolland; bonus daughters, LaSonya McCain and Carol McCain; niece, Judy Brown; three aunts, Jeanette Dickerson, Doris Ivey, and Geneva Grant; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 25, 2023, at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church (405 Sand Bar Ferry Road, Augusta, GA). Interment will follow at the Southview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. (706) 790-8858.
