Mrs. Cassandra Counts, 72, entered into rest, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Augusta, Georgia.
Cassandra’s legacy will be cherished by her loving spouse, Wilbert Counts; devoted daughter, Marcelle Young; stepchildren, Theretha Counts Crawford, Michael (Victoria) Counts, Robin Counts, Wilma (Tony) Poole, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Beverly Young Gordon; grandsons, Reginald Young, Rashad Young, Rodney Young, all of Augusta, GA.; one loving and devoted great granddaughter, XyNiah Young; two uncles, McMillian (Dorothy) Mitchell and Columbus McNeal; aunt, Sarah Mitchell; God-mother, Ms. Juanita Key; special friends, Debra Burton, Mary Alice Crawford, Dorothy Counts, Blanche Pooser, Willie Mae Grant, and Tammie Solomon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Second Providence Baptist Church, 1202 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. (706) 790-8858.
