Christine “Oma” Carter, beloved daughter of the late Paul Wust and Barbara Wust, was born on May 5, 1946, in Euskirchen, Germany. She peacefully transitioned at her home in Hephzibah, GA., on October 15, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Donald F. Carter Jr. Christine was raised in Euskirchen alongside her brother, Paul, and sister, Franceska. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work while working in a factory with her mother and brother. She later served as a retail-store supervisor in Germany and earned the German equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Gifted with her hands and attentive to detail, she also worked as a seamstress in several alteration shops. After moving to Georgia, Christine continued her career and later retired from Total Force. Christine embraced life with warmth and energy. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, reading, gardening, and sewing. Affectionately known as “Oma and Mama,” she will be remembered for her strength, independence, creativity, and devotion to her family. The love, wisdom, and memories she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Christine’s life and legacy will be lovingly cherished by her daughter, Michaela Adame; her son, Mike P. Carter (Lakeisha); her five grandchildren, Selina Adame, Isabella Adame, Mike P. Carter Jr., Jaliyah L. Carter, and Nailea L. Carter; her great-grandson, Adrian C. J. Knox; and a host of other family members, neighbors, and friends throughout Hinesville and Augusta, Georgia.
