Our beloved Doris Bing, 76, entered into rest, November 28, 2025, at home with her loving family. Mrs. Bing was a faithful member of Butler Creek AME Church and she retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital. She graduated from TW Josey High.
Doris was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness and strength touched every life she encountered.
Doris has reunited with her husband John Bing, her parents Alexander Thomas Fryer and Bernice Walker Fielding, her siblings Maxine Curtis Keaton and Thomas Fryer.
Doris Bing legacy will be cherished by children, Valensa (Rodney) Cross, Denine (Carl) Thomas and Melanie (Willie) Howard; grandchildren, Ashlee (Cory) Hodges, Danielle (Corderah) Glover, Rodney Cross Jr., Zhamaal Howard and Jamari Howard; great grandchildren, LeβAshia Miller, Dakota Glover, Kori Hodges and Rylan Bracey-Cross; her loving sister, Beverly Harris, God Children, Franklin Daniels, Niya Andrews and Marquel Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Public viewing and visitation will be from 2 pm to 6 pm, Friday, December 5, 2025, at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Springfield Baptist Church, 114 - 12th Street Augusta, GA 30901.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Doris was the nicest and most welcoming person; I'm proud to have shared the honor of being grandma/ great grandma to Danielle and Dakota. She will be remembered through the love and kindness instilled in her girls.

Doris and I were classmates for 12 years. Doris was the sweetest of all. I saw her in April and it was like we had no time between our last visit. May God Bless the Bing and Fryer families.
