Mrs. Florria Barnes Hobbs was born on January 3, 1952, in Burke County, Georgia, to the late Joe and Rosa Barnes. She entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2026, at WellStar Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Florria received her early education in the Burke County Public School System and later attended T.W. Josey High School in Richmond County, Augusta, Georgia.
She devoted many years of dedicated service as a long-term healthcare worker. Her employment included Salem Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Azalea Rehabilitation Center, The Place at Deans Bridge Road, and PruittHealth Augusta.
Florria was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Rosa Barnes. A beloved sister-in-law, Susie Barnes; her niece, Angela S. Barnes-Jones; her forever love, Willie L. Ford, her cousins, Gloria Harper, Walter Bennett, and Delores Brown.
Florria leaves cherished memories to her children, daughter Decnices (Javaka) Caldwell and her son, Dewayne Hobbs; her granddaughter, Nyla-Rose Caldwell; brothers, Retired Sgt. Major Joseph L. Barnes, Bobby L. Barnes, and Ronnie L. Barnes; and sister, Sharon L. (Anthony) Mincey, all of Augusta, Georgia.
Florria was dearly loved by her nieces, Bobbie Barnes, Brittany Barnes, and Shantrice Barnes, and nephews, Eric Barnes, Anthony Kemp, Andruis Barnes, Antwan Kemp, all of Augusta, Georgia, and Patrick Billups of Lancaster, California. She is also survived by a host of loving great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia.
A Celebration of Life Service honoring Mrs. Hobbs will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM, also at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home.
