We are deeply saddened by the loss of a true champion for justice and equality. As a dedicated NAACP freedom fighter, Goldie's unwavering commitment as a dedicated Executive Committee Member, advocate for civil rights and support for the betterment of our communities will never be forgotten. Even after she began her battle with Cancer, she would call in to check on us or attend meetings virtually.
May Golide's legacy live on in the remembrance of her infectious smile and beautiful spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, loved ones, and all those who were touched by her powerful presence.
Rest in power.

Our mother/wife, Lorraine Mason was a long time friend of Ms. Goldie. 57 years to be exact before our mom/wife passed. Our family remembers fondly the kindness of Ms. Goldie and the visits whenever she would come to Chicago and the wonderful hellos when our mom/wife would be on the phone with her. The stories about their time at Western Union working, forming a friendship that turned into a sisterhood and the travel filled our home. Our family sends our heartfelt condolences to you as you hold the memories close to your heart. Rest well Ms. Goldie.
