Mr. James Eric Williams transitioned to be with the Lord on July 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born on May 3, 1967, in Augusta, Georgia, to Jerry and Patricia Williams. At an early age he was baptized and attended the True Born Church of Christ Deliverance Center. Throughout the years, he carried the love of God and received him as his Lord and Savior.
Eric graduated from George P. Butler Comprehensive High School in 1985 and enlisted in the Navy in 1987. After 8 years of service, he was honorably discharged in 1995, later earning an Associates Degree in Criminal Juvenile Justice and receiving certifications in IT/Cyber Security working for companies such as Coca Cola and Truist.
Eric was a visionary, entrepreneur, producer, and mentor. A man of many talents. Starting his own record label with close friends titled NRN Entertainment. He was always looking toward his next endeavor. Embracing new opportunities with passion and determination. A natural-born leader, protector, and provider with the remarkable ability to encourage others to recognize their own potential and strive for excellence.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Frankie Bing Cheatham and Oscar Pete Bing and paternal grandparents Catherine Williams and Levi Green.
Blessed with a loving family, one sister, Cheryl Williams, and three brothers, Dwayne (Saketha) Williams, Tony (Phoenisa) Williams, and Timothy Williams.
With 21 years of friendship and love between them, he was united in holy matrimony to Cretia Parks on Jan 16, 2026, in Conyers, Georgia
Eric leaves to cherish his loving memory and legacy, his devoted wife Cretia Williams. His loving daughter Jaida Williams. Two adoring bonus sons Javon Armstrong and Jalen Jackson. Four beloved grandchildren. Aliza Williams, Aiden McDaniel, Maliyah Armstrong and Kendra Armstrong. One aunt, Ollie M. Brown, two uncles, Eddie Cheatham and Joseph Padgett. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family, and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Exodus Baptist Church, 3605 Morgan Road, Hephzibah, Georgia. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
