Obituary For Jeremy DeWayne Allen

Jeremy DeWayne Allen (Wayne), age 54, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on July 6, 2026.

Born May 25, 1972, named by his aunt Mary Cummings, Jeremy DeWayne Allen was affectionately known as Wayne to family and friends. A friend to all and loved by
many, Wayne carried warmth, laughter, and a generous spirit wherever he went. His joyful childhood was woven with close ties to his family, and those memories
remained a guiding light throughout his life.

He was a graduate of George P. Butler High
School Class of 1990, where he excelled on the football field as an offensive lineman. He earned a scholarship to the University of West Georgia and studied there briefly
before returning home to pursue a career. For over 18 years, Wayne worked as a Machine Operator at Quebecor World, where colleagues remember his good humor and strong work ethic.

He shared 14 years of marriage with Iris Hobbs, a partnership that blessed them with their daughter, LaTia
Allen. Their paths diverged in later years, but the love and lessons from their union remained a treasured part of his life. A true grill master, Wayne delighted family and friends with his cooking and loved bringing people together over shared meals.

Jeremy DeWayne Allen is survived by his daughter, LaTia Allen; his parents, Beverly and Lonnie Moore, and Portia McDaniels; and his siblings Ellis McDaniel, Joshua
McDaniel, Reggie McDaniel, Taura Mitchell, Melany Moore and Reggie Moore. He also leaves a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis McDaniel. His maternal grandparents Isaiahand Dorthy Allen and his paternal grandparents, Ellis and Anna Bell McDaniel Sr. and his brother Malcolm Moore.

Viewing will be open to the public on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1692 Old Savannah Road, Augusta, GA 30901.
