Obituary For Jewel Harden
Our beloved mother, Jewel S. Harden, of Hephzibah, Georgia, was born on January 11, 1949, to the late James and Josephine Scott of Sylvania, Georgia. On Sunday, October 26, 2025, she entered into eternal rest.
Jewel was a shining light in her community and a pillar of faith within her church family. Her mission was simple yet powerful: to “make sure everyone had the Assurance of Jesus Christ and Life Insurance,” as lovingly shared by Bishop Finace Bush Jr. Those who knew Jewel will never forget her radiant smile. A smile that could warm any heart and brighten even the darkest day.
A Celebration of Her Life and Legacy will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crown Kingdom Cultural Center, 720 Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC 29841.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA 30906.

My deepest condolences to the family and my apologies I wasn't able to attend the services to pay my respects. Mrs. Harden was a very caring lady whom I always had the upmost respect for. Fond memory: When I was a young girl, she saw me in an apple tree picking apples right next to her home in Apple Valley off HWY 56, and she said very calmly, but sternly said to get out of that tree before I fall and hurt myself and not to ever let her catch me again because she didn't want me to get hurt. I'm forever grateful for her compassion. Rest in Heaven Mrs. Harden.

My Dear Family, Just like all of you, my heart is broken. Jewel called me October 5th and left a voice mail. (I still have that voicemail. Praise God! She just called to say hello and wanted to know how I was feeling and how the rest of the family was doing. I returned the call and we shared a long conversation about the family getting together. I'm praying that God will give us all peace & comfort that only He can give.❤️🙏🏾 Your cousin, Pearl

I was not fortunate enough to know this fine lady; however, I know her brother Alvin through work. He's a fine man. We offer our condolences and prayers.
To the family of Jewel my condolences to her family, she will be missed, I talk to her on Friday and we were going to have a hamburger and talk about the time we work together I love and miss her
Jewel and I would talk often about the youth and how things could be done to help put them on the right track. She would say Ft Gordon is in my door. Referring to youth challenge. Will miss you and our talks Cuz.
