Jewell Murray, 73, the wife of Thomas Murray Jr, went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026, at Wellstar MCG Health in Augusta, GA.
She was the daughter of Benjamin "Buster" Marshall and Bertie Elliot Marshall Hiney, born on November 19, 1952 in Warsaw, SC. She attended Embracing The Vizion Moves Church in Tennille, GA. Jewell and Thomas shared 42 long years together. They loved each other very much. Jewell was a stay at home wife and mother for the last 20 years. Before then, she was a hair stylist for many years. Also, she worked at Cedarwood Apartments as a painter and helped get apartments ready to move in. She loved to cook and she loved people. She never met a stranger.
Jewell was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin "Buster" Marshall and Bertie Elliot Marshall Hiney, her Brother Benjamin "Kit" Marshall, her Sister, Billie M. Wrenn, a life long friend Shirley Guillory, and her Cousin in law, Ann Marie McCray whom she loved dearly.
She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Murray Jr; her Children Crystal Marshall, Tammy Murray, and Amiaya Adams; her stepdaughter Lakishia Marshall; her God-daughter Kathy Adams; her brother Charles (Sandra) Marshall; her sister Dora (Noot) Alford; she has four step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Public viewing will be January 29, 2026, from 2-5 p.m. at Kinsey and Walton Funeral Home.
The celebration of life will be 11:00a.m. January 30, 2026, at Kinsey and Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road Augusta, Ga 30906 (706)790-8858
