Mrs. Julia Walton age 74, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia.
Born on June 2, 1951, in Columbia County, Georgia, to parents Julian C. Rolland and Cora M. Rolland. Her life was marked by deep faith, enduring love for her family, infectious humor, and the ability to bring joy wherever she went.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Cora Rolland; sister, Fannie Garnett; and brothers, Willie Rolland, James Rolland and Scott Rickerson.
Family was at the heart of Julia’s life. She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years Robert Walton Jr. of Augusta, GA. children: two sons—Travis Walton of Augusta, GA; Robert Ramirez (Sherika Jones) Walton of Augusta, GA. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, Treasure Walton, Trinity Walton, Travis Walton Jr., Travaris Henderson, Thomas Walton, Suddenly Henderson, Kierra Nash, Christian Walton, Robert Aden Walton, Teriyana Jones, Stori Jones, Terrance Jones, Farrian Kelly. She also leaves behind five sisters, Lillian Price, Augusta, GA, Mamie Rolland, Grovetown, GA. Emma (Lawrence) Quiller Sr., Graniteville, SC. Charity (Vernard) Johnson, Augusta, GA. Beatrice Smith, Augusta, GA. Sister-in-laws: Annette Rickerson, Harlem, GA, Min, Patricia (Rev. Herman) Jackson, North Augusta, SC., and one brother-in-law Harold (Janice) Walton, Beech Island, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will cherish her memory.
The celebration of life service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Martrice Mims officiating.
