Lawrence “Larry” Bruce Stewart December 4, 1950 – December 5, 2024, Lawrence Bruce Stewart, lovingly known as Larry, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2024, with his devoted wife, Patricia M. Lytle, by his side. Born on December 4, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. Together they built a life of love and partnership in Hephzibah, Georgia, with his favorite dog Snickers.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army, dedicating his service to his country. As a young man, Larry was an avid skater who competed in and won numerous skating contests. He was also a gifted carpenter with an extraordinary talent for building and creating anything he set his mind to.
Larry was the youngest son of James Leonard Stewart and Florence Louise Stewart. Larry is survived by; his siblings, Toni Lofton-Warren of Crete, IL, Rochelle Tillman of Matteson, IL, and James Stewart Jr. of Bloomington, IN; as well as other extended family members who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Donna Ann Edmonson. Larry will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, skilled craftsmanship, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and service. Lawrence has brightened all of our lives with his kindness and generosity and more so in his later years.
He would surprise kids occasionally by passing out gifts to them.
And their faces would light up and that would even brighten up his face more.
