Michael Jordan Houston was born on April 14, 2009. He preferred to be known as Jordan but was allowed his mom and sister to call him Mikey.
He was born to Michael T. Houston and Latonya Houston in El Paso, Texas. He grew up with his siblings Aaron Houston, Kendria Jones, and Marrissa Lane.
Jordan passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 16 years old. He was a junior at AR Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School.
He loved sushi and gaming. He also enjoyed collecting vinyls.
Occasionally, he listened to them on his record player; otherwise, they were kept in their sleeves and hanging on the wall like artwork.
His musical taste ran from Tyler the Creater to Sampha to Kali Uchis.
Throughout his life, Jordan left a strong impact on his family.
Although he was quiet, he was not shy. He was very intelligent, witty, and sarcastic. He had a very analytical mind and was very quick to fact-check someone. He never really asked for a lot, but he definitely made it hard to tell him no.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Kinsey & Watson Funeral Home.
Though his time here was far too short, the love we have for Jordan will never fade. We will carry him in our hearts always.
Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906 (706)790-8858.

I feel greatly terrible forgetting who you were, I knew you since our 9th grade year and I feel sick not realizing what happened. I am going to greatly miss you dearly, you were great friends with Jaylen and everybody else, we all loved talking and all during Ms. Douglas class a lot in 7th period that year. I am just greatly upset you aren't with us anymore now. I hope you find a better place in our hearts and now to understand your in a better place, rise high our dear friend.
