Obituary For Patsy Louise Young
Dearly beloved, Ms. Patsy Louise Young was the devoted and loving daughter of the late John Arthur and Lena Byrd Young. She was born on October 17, 1945, and completed her life’s journey September 10, 2025.
She was educated in the Richmond County School System at The Haines Normal & Industrial Institute. She retired from the Richmond County Board of Education as a custodian. She enjoyed providing a safe, clean, and inviting environment for the children to learn and grow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John A. Young and Lena Byrd Young, her sister and brother-in-law; Ava Jean Granger and Timothy Granger, her grandson; Tavis Arthur Young, and her nephew; Markia Williams.
Cherishing her memory forever is her sister; Thelma Q. Williams, her son; Dale (Penny)Young, her daughter; Latonya Young, and her son; Christopher (Constance)Young; along with her lovely grandchildren: D’andra Young, Dale Young Jr., Dayjah Young, Lia Coleman Young, Tyler Beasley, Christopher Young Jr., and Carlton Young. Great Grandchildren: Noah Hudson, Jersey Young and Grand Great Niece: Logan Maston. Loving nieces and nephews: Pekisha (James) Jennings, Lakisha (Kelby) Heath, Lavelle Williams, Sonya Granger, and Timothy Granger. Loving great niece and nephews: Ashley Maston, Cornelius Heath, and Caleb Heath. Special friends: Dorothy Wells, Mary Cooper, Mattie Lambert, Frances Cofer, and Sarah O’bryant.
Viewing will be Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 pm, Friday, September 19, 2025, in Kinsey & Walton Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens.
