Polly Ann Cummings Carter was born in Thomson, GA, March 18th, 1960, to the dearly departed Daisy Pearl Cummings. She departed this life on Monday, February 12th, 2024. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Curtis Carter. Polly was raised in Thomson and moved to Augusta/Hephzibah area in her adult life. She met the love of her life, Curtis Carter in 1996 and was united in marriage in August of 2004. Polly was the most selfless person one could meet.
Her light and memories will live on through her loving son, Steven Bernard Cummings (Joey) of Evans, GA; daughter Shawanda Pyatt (Michael) of Augusta, GA; daughter Lakeya Horton of Hephzibah, GA; son Dontrel Horton (Sheonna), of Atlanta GA; daughter Monique Nipper (Anthony) of Hephzibah, GA; and daughter Shareika Latrese Horton, of Augusta, GA; sixteen grandchildren, Steven Bernard Cummings, Jr, Justice Joel Cummings, Torez McCoy, Kahari Burden, Shania Burden, Markell Pyatt, Breyona Dunbar, Braden Dunbar, Dontrel Horton Jr., Daveon Horton, Jordan Davis, Jody Davis, James “Jay” McBride Jr., Anthony Nipper III, Alijah Nipper, Sevyn Giselle Williams, one great granddaughter Ari McCoy, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and loving friends.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 23, 2024, in West View Cemetery, 512 W. View Drive, Thomson, Ga. The family will receive friends Thursday, the 22nd from 4 pm to 6 pm at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road. (706) 790-8858
